Basketball Recap: Seneca Comes Up Short

Seneca blew Serena out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Serena got their revenge. The Fighting Irish fell just short of the Huskers by a score of 54-51. The Fighting Irish just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Seneca's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Serena, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Seneca will venture away from home to square off against St. Bede at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Serena, they will head out to challenge Illinois Math & Science Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskers will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.57 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
