Baseball Recap: University Triumphs

University won the last time they faced Seton Catholic and things went their way on Friday too. The Trailblazers never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Trailblazers, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Charlie Ranek was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. University is undefeated when Ranek posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Beckett Suh was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: University kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

University now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Seton Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University will venture away from home to square off against Hamilton Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seton Catholic, they will head out to challenge Blue River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
