Baseball Game Preview: Father Tolton vs. Wright City Wildcats

Father Tolton will challenge the Wright City Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Father Tolton proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by nine) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Southern Boone 12-10. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Wright City waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Wright City's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Father Tolton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season.
