Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Independence

The Liberty Patriots will head out to take on the Independence Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

Liberty is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Stockdale just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result kept the Patriots happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 7th.

Mekai Dallas and Dawson Williford scored both of Liberty's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time since January 2nd, Independence was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. They played to a draw too, finishing 0-0 against Bakersfield.

Independence's draw makes their record 6-10-3 this season. As for Liberty, they moved theirs to 13-2-5.

Liberty beat Independence by a goal in their previous matchup on January 9th, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
