Soccer Game Preview: Northgate vs. Mt. Diablo

The Northgate Broncos will challenge the Mt. Diablo Red Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Northgate's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Northgate is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Campolindo on Tuesday. The Broncos fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Mt. Diablo has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 20. They and Acalanes finished up their contest with a 3-3 draw on Tuesday. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, Mt. Diablo got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

Northgate's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-2. With that draw, Mt. Diablo's record moves to 5-5-5.
