Tj Ortiz leads Las Animas to victory over Dolores Huerta Prep

Recap: Las Animas Trojans vs. Dolores Huerta Prep Scorpions
The Las Animas Trojans won the last time they faced the Dolores Huerta Prep Scorpions, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Las Animas took down Dolores Huerta Prep 62-44. That's two games straight that Las Animas has won by exactly 18 points.
Among those leading the charge was Tj Ortiz, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Vargas, who scored 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Las Animas and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Dolores Huerta Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Las Animas will be playing at home against La Veta at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dolores Huerta Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against James Irwin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully James Irwin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Monday.
