Baseball Recap: Arp Comes Up Short

Arp lost against White Oak last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Arp came up short against White Oak, falling 17-8. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Arp saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Sanford, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Sanford a new career-high in doubles (two). Another was Caden Cliborn, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Arp's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12-1. As for White Oak, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Arp Tigers face off against Sabine Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arp is facing Sabine at the right time seeing as Sabine is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for White Oak, they will be playing at home against Center at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. White Oak will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Center will have lost three straight heading into Saturday's matchup.
