Volleyball Game Preview: Whittier Christian Heralds vs. Village Christian Crusaders

Whittier Christian is 2-7 against Village Christian since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Heralds are taking a road trip to square off against the Crusaders at 5:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Whittier Christian came up short against Maranatha and fell 3-1.

Whittier Christian was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Maranatha work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-27, 25-18, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Village Christian made easy work of Heritage Christian on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-3, 25-15.

Whittier Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Village Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Whittier Christian might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Village Christian when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Heralds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
