Soccer Recap: Shawnee's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Shawnee was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Delta on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians came up short against the Kenton Wildcats on Thursday, falling 5-2. Shawnee were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kenton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Shawnee fell to 2-1. As for Kenton, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Shawnee will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty-Benton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shawnee's defense better be ready for this one: Liberty-Benton have averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season. As for Kenton, they will venture away from home to square off against Riverdale at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
