Volleyball Recap: Western Guilford's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Western Guilford had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Eastern Guilford Wildcats 3-0. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Western Guilford's got stronger as the match went on, holding Eastern Guilford to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 25-14.

Ava Whisnant paced Western Guilford's offense, picking up ten kills. Whisnant got some help from Riley Adler and her 20 assists. Isabella Honaker controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Western Guilford's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Eastern Guilford, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Western Guilford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against East Forsyth on the 19th. As for Eastern Guilford, they will take on Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
