Baseball Recap: Bushnell-Prairie City Takes a Loss

Bushnell-Prairie City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to the Delavan Panthers. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Bushnell-Prairie City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Palm, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI was Palm's first of the season.

Bushnell-Prairie City's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Delavan, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bushnell-Prairie City will host Abingdon/Avon at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games Abingdon/Avon has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Delavan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lexington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lexington will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
