Soccer Game Preview: Menchville vs. Landstown

The Menchville Monarchs will head out on the road to face off against the Landstown Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Menchville's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Landstown's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Menchville will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Thursday, then bounced right back against Warwick on Tuesday. The Monarchs' defense stepped up to hand the Raiders an 8-0 shutout. Considering Menchville have won three games by more than seven goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Landstown put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Norfolk Collegiate by a score of 2-0. Landstown's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Landstown's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Menchville, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
