Softball Recap: Campbell Spartans vs. Trinity Christian Lions

Campbell proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 11) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Trinity Christian Lions out 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since August 14th.

Ava Jungers was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Charlotte Keib was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

The victory (which was Campbell's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5. As for Trinity Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Campbell will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against East Coweta at 8:00 p.m. East Coweta is coming into the contest with seven straight wins at home, so Campbell will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Trinity Christian, they will face off against Fayette County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
