Softball Recap: Bremond Has No Trouble Against Granger

Bremond won the last time they faced Granger and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bremond Tigers put the hurt on the Granger Lions with a sharp 8-1 victory. Considering the Tigers have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Charlye Martin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryann Baker, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those hits marked the first that she got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Young, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

The win made it two in a row for Bremond and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Granger, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6-1.

Looking ahead, Bremond will face off against Bartlett at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bremond is facing Bartlett at the right time seeing as Bartlett is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Granger, they will venture away from home to square off against Chilton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
