Baseball Recap: Arleta Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Arleta's offense. They fell just short of the Van Nuys Wolves by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Arleta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Wiren, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Arleta's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Van Nuys, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wolves beat Arleta by a score of 5-3 on Friday.
