Softball Recap: Bunkie Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Bunkie faced off against Neville on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Tigers.

Braelyn Ferguson was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Molly Newton, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Bunkie lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Bunkie's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Neville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bunkie will challenge Vidalia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Neville, they will take on Ouachita Parish at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
