Baseball Recap: Waynesboro Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Waynesboro's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverheads Gladiators on Thursday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Waynesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Riverheads, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waynesboro will host Charlottesville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverheads, they will welcome James River at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
