Volleyball Recap: Rosman Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rosman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Highlands Highlanders, falling 3-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Highlanders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Rosman was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 28-26, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Tristin Powell and Savannah Greene, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Kihana Sexton and her 32 assists. Greene was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Rosman's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Highlands, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosman will square off against Swain County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highlands, they will challenge Blue Ridge Early College at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
