Baseball Recap: The Webb School Victorious

The Webb School hadn't done well against Davidson Academy recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Feet came out on top against the Bears by a score of 6-2. This was payback for the Feet, who suffered an 18-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The Webb School got a big performance out of Drew Baker, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Baker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Fogle, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

The victory made it two in a row for The Webb School and bumps their season record up to 12-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Davidson Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7.

Coming up, The Webb School will challenge Middle Tennessee Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Davidson Academy, they will face off against Clarksville Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
