Softball Recap: Camp Hill Finds Home Field Redemption Against Harrisburg

There's no place like home for Camp Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Harrisburg Cougars on Friday by a score of 16-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Lindsay Oyster was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Lindsay Johnson was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Haley Kessel was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Camp Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Camp Hill's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Harrisburg, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Camp Hill will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
