Basketball Recap: Pahrump Valley Comes Up Short

Pahrump Valley was the 63-56 winner over Bonanza when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Pahrump Valley Trojans took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bonanza Bengals on Friday.

Despite the loss, Pahrump Valley still got an impressive performance from Tramaine Burras, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards. That's the most points Burras has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Alejandro Lozano, who posted 13 points.

Pahrump Valley's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Bonanza, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pahrump Valley will square off against Del Sol at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bonanza has already played their next match (against Faith Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
