Recap: Wayne Blue Devils vs. North Bend Central Tigers
The Wayne Blue Devils won against the North Bend Central Tigers last Saturday with 53 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Wayne enjoyed a cozy 53-37 victory over North Bend Central. The win was familiar territory for Wayne who now have three in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wayne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Devin Anderson, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caiden Backer, who scored 14 points.
Wayne pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points per game. As for North Bend Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
Wayne will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wynot on February 8th. North Bend Central on the road again on Thursday and play against Wisner-Pilger on January 25th. Wisner-Pilger comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
