Volleyball Recap: West Valley Eagles vs. Pullman Greyhounds

After flying high against North Central last Thursday, West Valley came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Pullman Greyhounds on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

West Valley was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Pullman work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 26-24, 25-27, 25-22.

West Valley's loss ended a seven-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-3. As for Pullman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. West Valley is set to take on their familiar foe East Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pullman will challenge rival Deer Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
