Baseball Recap: Sumner's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Sumner won the last time they faced Blake and things went their way on Saturday too. Sumner came out on top against Blake by a score of 7-2.

Christian Duncan looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed a strikeout, marking his first of the season.

On the hitting side, Jaylin Chambers was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Peralta, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Sumner's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Blake, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sumner will head out to face off against Lennard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blake, they will venture away from home to square off against Sickles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sickles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Blake surely won't give up without a fight.
