Softball Recap: West Stanly Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Stanly can now relate to. They fell 7-3 to the McMichael Phoenix on Wednesday. The Colts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Phoenix apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

West Stanly saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Austin, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

West Stanly's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-5. As for McMichael, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-4.

As of now, neither West Stanly nor the Phoenix have any future games scheduled.
