Penn Hills extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 20 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-17 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Woodland Hills Wolverines. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Penn Hills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
