Volleyball Game Preview: McDowell Trojans vs. Harbor Creek Huskies + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the McDowell Trojans and the Harbor Creek Huskies will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: McDowell has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Harbor Creek will arrive with five straight victories.

On Tuesday, McDowell didn't have quite enough to beat General McLane and fell 3-2.

If Erie wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Harbor Creek, they should've done a better job of containing Bailey Sanfrotello. The Huskies walked away with a 3-1 win over the Royals on Tuesday with plenty of help from Sanfrotello, who had 27 assists and eight aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

The victory didn't come easy: Erie scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20.

McDowell better focus on containing Addison Lucas and Aubrey Pierce as the pair were huge in Harbor Creek's win. Lucas had nine assists and six digs, while Pierce had five digs and two aces. That's the most digs Lucas has posted since back in October of 2024.

Harbor Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Harbor Creek's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for McDowell, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
