Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Perkins couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Lake Catholic Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Sunday. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Kash Koch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Dylan Crabtree, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Perkins' loss dropped their record down to 23-10. As for Lake Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Perkins nor Lake Catholic have any future games scheduled.
