Basketball Recap: Don Lugo Comes Up Short

Don Lugo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the La Canada Spartans an easy 63-41 victory. While losing is never fun, the Conquistadores can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1107th, while the Spartans are ranked 74th).

Don Lugo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for La Canada, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Don Lugo will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Dimas at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. La Canada will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against San Marino at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
