Volleyball Game Preview: West Field Longhorns vs. Morgan Trojans

The West Field Longhorns will square off against the Morgan Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Morgan took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on West Field, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, West Field turned things around against Logan on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Grizzlies 3-2.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (102-97) West Field actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 10-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-22, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Morgan faced Ogden in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Morgan lost 3-0 to Ogden. The Trojans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

While Morgan ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-19.

Morgan's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for West Field, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.
