On Saturday, Melrose-Mindoro made easy work of Cashton and carried off an 8-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Bella Rozek made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Rozek wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Miranda Banse, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Kenna Prager also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Aquinas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-2 to Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
