Basketball Recap: Germantown Christian Takes a Loss

Germantown Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 32-26 heartbreaker at the hands of East Dayton Christian. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Conquerors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-16 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Germantown Christian lost, don't look at Grace Smith. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 84.6% of Germantown Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Germantown Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for East Dayton Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Germantown Christian will take on Christian Academy at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Dayton Christian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hillsboro Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
