After a string of four wins, Yarmouth's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Medomak Valley Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Clippers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Panthers are ranked second).

Yarmouth's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4. As for Medomak Valley, they pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Yarmouth will venture away from home to face off against Freeport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Yarmouth is facing Freeport at the right time seeing as Freeport is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Medomak Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Erskine Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Medomak Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Erskine Academy likes a good challenge.
