Basketball Recap: Pensacola Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Pensacola Christian Academy had lost three straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it four. They were dealt an 81-37 loss at the hands of the Paxton Bobcats. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Pensacola Christian Academy lost, don't look at Nathan Londrigan. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-11 en route to 13 points and six boards. Avery Johnson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

As for Paxton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. That looming 81-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Paxton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wade Borgesen, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Borgesen also posted an 80% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cade Stewart, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

Pensacola Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-66 loss against Community Christian on the 25th. As for Paxton, they will challenge Jay at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd. This will be the Bobcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
