The Port St. Lucie Jaguars will take on the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Port St. Lucie: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Melbourne Central Catholic has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

On Friday, Port St. Lucie came up short against Tradition Prep and fell 10-5.

Port St. Lucie saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Taylor, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Taylor has posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Melbourne Central Catholic ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Rockledge 2-1.

Ryder Widick made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Widick was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he's hit this season.

Port St. Lucie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
