Softball Recap: Leland Takes a Loss

Leland managed to slip by Ann Sobrato the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chargers lost 14-2 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Leland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Irene Kim, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Kim is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Maya Mowji also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Leland has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Ann Sobrato, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Leland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 loss against Gilroy on the 1st. As for Ann Sobrato, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Willow Glen on the 1st.
