Basketball Recap: Parlier Comes Up Short

Parlier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the Yosemite Badgers, falling 52-31. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-42 on January 4th.

Yosemite found their leader in sophomore Fallon Vaughn, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 12 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Vaughn has scored at least a third of Yosemite's points. Lucas McGoldrick was another key player, dropping a triple-double on 11 points, 15 rebounds, and ten assists.

Parlier's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Yosemite, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-17.

Parlier will take on Fowler at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fowler knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Parlier likes a good challenge. As for Yosemite, they will face off against Riverdale at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Yosemite is facing Riverdale at the right time seeing as Riverdale is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
