Basketball Recap: Pacific Comes Up Short

Pacific lost against Redlands two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pacific Pirates came up short against the Redlands Terriers, falling 66-46. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Pacific still got an impressive performance from Maurice Fitzgerald, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 16 rebounds. Fitzgerald is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Francisco Garcia, who posted 14 points and three steals.

Pacific's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Redlands, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-10.

Pacific and San Gorgonio will face off at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Redlands, they will challenge Rim of the World at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
