Softball Game Preview: Rock Ridge Phoenix vs. Falls Church Jaguars

The Rock Ridge Phoenix will head out to take on the Falls Church Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Wednesday, Rock Ridge came up short against Meridian and fell 6-1. The Phoenix have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rock Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyra Young, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Grayson Andrews also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Falls Church was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Edison, falling 11-1.

Rock Ridge now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Falls Church, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
