Basketball Recap: Westside's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Westside entered their game against Heights on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Westside Wolves lost to the Heights Bulldogs at home by a 56-40 margin. The contest marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Heights found their leader in freshman Eric Ekwegbara, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Malone, who posted eight points and ten boards.

Westside's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-3. As for Heights, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-11.

Westside has already played their next game, a 53-45 defeat against Lamar on the 14th. As for Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 80-21 win against Wisdom on the 13th.
