Softball Recap: Forestview Jaguars vs. North Gaston Wildcats

Forestview had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 4-11 to make it four. They lost 14-1 to the North Gaston Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Jaguars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Forestview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn Baker, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double.

As for North Gaston, they now have a winning record of 7-6. Considering they have won five games by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

On North Gaston's side, Parker Gordon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave Gordon a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Peyton Weaver was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.
