Basketball Game Preview: Monument Valley Mustangs vs. Page Sand Devils

The Monument Valley Mustangs will take on the Page Sand Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Monument Valley is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Tuba City: they outscored them in every quarter. Monument Valley put the hurt on Tuba City with a sharp 67-46 victory on Tuesday. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Mustangs had established a 20 point advantage.

Meanwhile, Page entered their tilt with Chinle on Tuesday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They managed a 49-45 win over the Wildcats.

Page's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points per game. As for Monument Valley, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-13.

Monument Valley lost to Page at home by a decisive 55-41 margin in their previous matchup on January 9th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Page's Tyree Stingley, who posted 15 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.
