Basketball Recap: Ash Fork Victorious

If Mayer wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Ash Fork, they should've done a better job of containing Isabella Acosta. The Ash Fork Spartans took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-23 win over the Mayer Wildcats thanks in part to Acosta, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 steals. Acosta is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Laney Trovillion was another key player, putting up six points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Ash Fork's record is now 10-7. As for Mayer, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Ash Fork will face off against Seligman at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Ash Fork is facing Seligman at the right time seeing as Seligman is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mayer, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Grand Canyon at 5:30 p.m.
