Basketball Recap: Veritas Christian Academy's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Veritas Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 66-54 to the Bowling Green Bobcats.

Despite the loss, Veritas Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Titus Murrell went 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. Murrell's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Markham, who posted 11 points.

Veritas Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Bowling Green, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Veritas Christian Academy has already played their next matchup (against Missouri Military Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bowling Green has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against North Callaway.
