Basketball Recap: Rose of Sharon Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against El Paso HomeSchool two weeks ago, Rose of Sharon came back down to earth. Rose of Sharon took a 69-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Immanuel Christian Warriors. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (60), Rose of Sharon still had to take the loss.

Immanuel Christian was led to victory by Carlos Acu?a and Alan Valenzuela. Acu?a went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Valenzuela posted 18 points. The dominant performance gave Valenzuela a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was David Gonzalez, who put up seven points.

Rose of Sharon's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2. As for Immanuel Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season.
