Softball Recap: Linden Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

While Linden put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Kearsley. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Hornets. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Morgan Piotrovsky (2025) and Hailey Elder (2026) did most of the damage at the plate: Piotrovsky (2025) went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Elder (2026) went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Elder (2026) a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addi Siegwald (2027), who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Linden's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Kearsley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Linden will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair will be back at it again later today.
