Tonopah posted their closest win since April 16, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Mineral County Serpents 10-9. The Muckers haven't had any issues with the Serpents recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Tonopah got a big performance out of Adelaido Salgato, who scored two runs and stole five bases. Another player making a difference was Brekken Miller, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Tonopah's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Mineral County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mineral County beat Tonopah by a score of 21-11 later that day.
