Soccer Recap: Menifee County Takes a Loss

If Menifee County was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Powell County on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats came up short against the Russell Red Devils on Thursday, falling 8-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Menifee County of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

Menifee County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Russell, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Menifee County will face off against Bath County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give Menifee County their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Russell, they will challenge Rowan County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
