Soccer Game Preview: Padua Franciscan vs. Bay

Padua Franciscan hasn't had much luck against Bay recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Bruins will square off against the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Padua Franciscan comes in on seven and Bay on five.

Padua Franciscan's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Holy Name. Considering Padua Franciscan have won eight matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Holy Name from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Garrett Nowicki led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Bay got the win against Valley Forge on Wednesday by a conclusive 8-0. That eight goal margin sets a new team best for Bay this season.

Bay's victory bumped their record up to 13-2-1. As for Padua Franciscan, their win bumped their record up to 11-2-3.

Padua Franciscan beat Bay by a goal in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 5-4. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
