Basketball Game Preview: Blair Vikings vs. San Marino Titans

The Blair Vikings will challenge the San Marino Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Blair knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully San Marino likes a good challenge.

Blair is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past South Pasadena with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 95-80.

Blair's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Timmy Anderson, who went 8 of 17 en route to 32 points and six assists. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which Anderson has scored at least a third of Blair's points. Jaleel Hunter was another key player, going 8 for 14 on his way to 20 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, San Marino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to La Canada on the road by a 74-57 margin. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Spartans are ranked 69th).

Blair's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for San Marino, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

Blair skirted past San Marino 84-81 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Does Blair have another victory up their sleeve, or will San Marino turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
